Welcome, welcome to Caraval...all games must come to an end. It’s been two months since the last Caraval concluded, two months since the Fates have been freed from an enchanted deck of cards, two months since Tella has seen Legend, and two months since Legend claimed the empire’s throne as his own. February and March 2019 Wrap Up (19 books)

Another month is over, which means it is time for my wrap up. I decided to combine my February and March wrap up because I was so busy in the beginning of March that I did not have the chance to do a blogpost about my February wrap up. Moving on, I have read 10 books in February and 9 books in March. I have currently read 26 of 100 books for my reading challenge this year and I am 2 books ahead of schedule, which I am proud of.  Let us start with the books I read last February. I re-read 7 books this month and read 3 new books. Most of the books I read are contemporary stories. 1. Nothing Left to Lose by Kirsty Mosely (Re-read) 2. The Assassin's Guide to Love and Treason by Virginia Boecker  I love the idea of the story but the execution lacked emotions. The story was also draggy and there were parts that did not keep me interested. I was not also invested with the characters. They feel one dimensional in a way that I could not relate to them and they did not brin...

January 2019 Book Haul and Wrap Up

Image
This is probably the saddest book haul since most of them are for school and they cost a lot. I would rather buy more YA books but I need these textbooks for school.  1. Politically Correct: The Ultimate Story Book 2. Theories of Personality by Feist and Feist 3. DSM-5 fifth edition 4. Abnormal Psychology Moving on to my wrap up, I did a lot of re-reading this month. I really want to re-read a lot for this year especially my favorite books to see if I have change my opinions about them. 1. Unraveling the Truth About Love by Addison Cole  Discover the magic of the Bradens, and fall in love with Addison Cole's rich and romantic storytelling. In Unraveling the Truth About Love… Small-town overachiever Riley Banks has finally scored her big break--working in Manhattan as a fashion design assistant for her childhood crush, Josh Braden. She enters her new job hoping to make a name for herself and--just maybe--explore the romance that slipped through her fingers way ba...

July 2017 TBR Part 1

Image
I only have a month left before I start law school and my goal is to read a lot of books in my 'To Be Read' (TBR) pile. It's quite a challenge because I have a lot of books to read but I am planning on reading 20+ books before August. So for this month I am challenging myself to read at least a minimum of 10 or more books, which I have done before but you never know when a reading slump will come. We shall see with my monthly wrap up if I will do good on this challenge. So moving on to the list of books I will read this month (Update: while editing this I have already read five books and I am currently reading my sixth one this month)...  A Gathering of Shadows (Shades of Magic #2) by V.E Schwab (Side note: This is actually a re-read before  I start reading the last book of the trilogy,  which A Conjuring of Light)  PLOT: It has been four months since a mysterious obsidian ...
