Hello! I know I have been missing in action these past few months. I lot has happen in my life. I finished my coursework, internship, and written comprehensive exam for my Master's degree. I have also been volunteering in a mental health organization. Nevertheless, I still try to read books as much as I can. So far I have read 48 books out of my goal of 50 books this year.  1. February is not just the month of love but it is also the month of book sales. I attended two book sales this month, the Big Bad Wolf Book Sale and the National Bookstore Book Binge Bazaar, and I got 28 books. It's the month of love so why not celebrate my love for books by buying a lot books (this is what I tell myself trying to justify buying 28 books). It looked like I bought 1 book a day this month.  I also got The Sky is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson and The Runaway King by Jennifer A. Nielsen (199 pesos each)  So, that is all for my February haul. I need more shelf space or buy a new bookshelf.  The Big Bad Wolf Book Sale 2018 has officially ended and I was fortunate enough to go back and this time I went with my whole family. I said that I was not going to buy anything since I already bought 15 books the first time I went. But my parents were kind enough to buy me more books. My sister getting some medicine books in the reference section. We went around 11pm on a Sunday (January 18, 2018) and there were still a lot of people despite having work or school tomorrow. Also there were a lot of books gone in many of the tables were already, especially the young adult section, so I missed out on some of the titles that I was hoping to get. My dad reading a WWII history book in the History section. Found this Agatha Christie comic book.  Look at my dog, Leia. She is so photogenic.  Moving on to my haul, I got 5 items; 2 graphic novels, 1 novel, and 2 travel guide...      ...

                   I only have a month left before I start law school and my goal is to read a lot of books in my 'To Be Read' (TBR) pile. It's quite a challenge because I have a lot of books to read but I am planning on reading 20+ books before August. So for this month I am challenging myself to read at least a minimum of 10 or more books, which I have done before but you never know when a reading slump will come. We shall see with my monthly wrap up if I will do good on this challenge.
