Image
Hi lovelies! I am actually proud of my wrap up for this month. I did a Birthday readathon this month and I was able to read a lot of my books that have been in my TBR pile for a while such as Kingdom of Ash and The President is Missing. My goal for this month is to read 10 books and I did read 10 books. I wanted to really a lot of books this month especially since school have started and looking at the syllabus of my class I won't be have the time to read as much as I want. So moving on here are the books that I read:  1. A Flair for Flip Flops by Deborah Garner  I received a copy of this book in exchanged for an honest review.  I had a hard time getting into the story because it was the 5th book of a series and I usually want to read book one first but once I read past 50 pages I got hooked into the story. It is a light read which is perfect for a summer read by the poolside. It is comparable to Nancy Drew since both characters both amateur detectives and their stor...

This is my wrap up for my Birthday readathon, which I did last September 13-20, 2019. I decided to do this readathon because I have a lot of books on my TBR and I really want to read all of my books in my bookshelf before I buy more books. I think this is a good way for me to read a lot. It definitely helped me motivate myself into reading a lot this week. Also, I am going back to school so I wanted to read more before school starts because once I get back to school. I won't be able to read books as much as I want. So here is a weekly recap of my week. October 2018 Wrap Up

Image
November is finally here and I cannot believe that in less than two months the year 2018 is finally coming to an end. In the month of October I read eight books and I feel like the book that I've read were either great or bad. Anyway here are the books that I have read in the past month... 1. Damaged by Martina Cole When the bodies of missing schoolgirls start turning up, former DCI Kate Burrows is dragged out of retirement. A new Grantley serial killer is in town and DCI Annie Carr turns to Kate for help. She welcomes the distraction from her home life with former gangster, Patrick Kelly, whose long lost son has turned up out of the blue, bringing trouble with him. It soon becomes clear the killer is on their doorstep and as the body count grows, Kate and Annie face a race against the clock. But they have no real leads ... and there's more to these murders than meets the eye. Can Kate take the killer down before another schoolgirl dies? My thoughts: I love ...

Top 8 Books To Read This Halloween 2018

Image
Halloween is fast approaching and it is the time wherein I love to read spooky and scary books. I just love reading with hot coffee during this festivities. I also watch horror movies in between reading. So, here is my book recommendation for Halloween. 1. The Dark Vault (The Archived #1-2.5)  by Victoria Schwab Imagine a place where the dead rest on shelves like books. Each body has a story to tell, a life seen in pictures only Librarians can read. The dead are called Histories, and the vast realm in which they rest is the Archive. Da first brought Mackenzie Bishop here four years ago, when she was twelve years old, frightened but determined to prove herself. Now Da is dead, and Mac has grown into what he once was: a ruthless Keeper, tasked with stopping often violent Histories from waking up and getting out. Because of her job, she lies to the people she loves, and she knows fear for what it is: a useful tool for staying alive. Being a Keeper isn't just dangerous...

The Manila International Book Fair also happened in the month of September and I also bought a couple of books because book are so cheap in the Book Binge Bazaar. 1. Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn Fresh from a brief stay at a psych hospital, reporter Camille Preaker faces a troubling assignment: she must return to her tiny hometown to cover the murders of two preteen girls. For years, Camille has hardly spoken to her neurotic, hypochondriac mother or to the half-sister she barely knows: a beautiful thirteen-year-old with an eerie grip on the town. Now, installed in her old bedroom in her family's Victorian mansion, Camille finds herself identifying with the young victims—a bit too strongly. Dogged by her own demons, she must unravel the psychological puzzle of her...
