Evolving Perceptions

Since it was my Birth month, I decided to splurge on myself for a bit. I also wanted to update my gadgets by changing their cases. I rarely change my case but they were so broken down that it was not protecting my gadgets anymore. I also clothes for my cousin's wedding and a new smart watch for fitness purposes (my Fitbit is dying as well :( ). But they have yet to arrive.  This month, I started and got hooked with watching Merlin. I just finished season 4 and will start the final season. I know that it will destroy me. My favorite book that I read this month is The Bodyguard by Katherine Center. It is a light romance read and I love the characters.   What are your monthly favorites and hauls?  Please tell me below. This month I treated my self and bought a couple of things like a new headphones from Rockspace, sunscreens from Fairyskin and Fresh, and new books (The Picture of Dorian Gray & The Woman in White) from Fullybooked. I also did enjoyed a lot of series this month such as The Sandman, Extraordinary Attorney Woo, and Only Murders in the Building season 2. The Sandman blew me away the atmosphere of the series was so nice. While Extraordinary Attorney Woo was a light series despite tackling social issues. Only Murders in the Building S2 is a fun and quirky take on true crime and I love the interactions of the main characters. In terms of books, I didn't enjoy the books that I was reading nothing really struck me. Hi Lovelies! This month I haven't really enjoyed the books that I read so far. But I do have a lot of non-book related favorites such as the Summer I Turned Pretty series. The series was nostalgic in a sense that I was so invested with the book trilogy when I was in high school and I loved it but in terms of story and character wise the tv series was better in my opinion. There were so many excited parts in the series that was not in the book. Belly, in the series, was less annoying and cringy. I also like how outspoken she was in the tv series.  I also did explored around Makati and tried a new pizza place and cafe. Crosta pizzeria reminds me of New York Style Pizza from Prince street. My sister and I also saw a new cafe called OddCafe and they are a vegan coffee shop. I usually go with whole milk with my coffee but I did enjoy the oatmilk in their specialty drinks.  At the start of the month, my family and I went to La Union and Baguio and I brought some jewelry in Baguio. I attended the Meet Between The Pages: A Bookworm Party by Fully Booked last Saturday, October 19, 2019 in Fully Booked: Bonifacio High Street. I was nervous to attend because I am an introvert and I do not do well with social events. But the staffs were very welcoming and the other bookworms were very nice. It was fun to meet a lot of people who share the same interest as me. We got to talk about our favorite books and I also got a lot of recommendations.  The Book Buffet Table, wherein a lot of books and arcs for grabs were displayed.  They also made a section where we can take pictures for bookstagram.   I also received three advanced reader's copies from Penguin Random House.  1. I went to Singapore last month (April 25-29, 2017) for a vacation. I had a great time exploring the city because I haven't been there since 2008. I also did a bit of shopping but not too much because I books are expensive there and I do not want to spend too much money since May is coming up and there are a lot of new releases that I want to purchase and read.  Moving on, the first items that I bought are from Guardian , which is like a health and beauty store there. I celebrated my 19th birthday last September 9 and I am definitely blessed to be surrounded by amazing people in my life who cares and love me for who I am. Thank you to my friends and family who continue to support me. Birthday haul  I finally got my ear cartilage pierce at needle juice. You can find them on instagram @needlejuiceph. They provide tattoo, henna and piercing services. They are very sanitize and the procedure did not hurt at all. It has been three weeks since the procedure and I had no trouble at all with infections.
