May 2019 Book Haul

Last month when I went to the country club to work out at the gym, they had Books For Less in the lobby. They had a great selection of books that I could not help myself and got a couple of books. Most of the books that I brought are re-purchases because I lost many books over the years, especially children books, due to our moving from a different house when I was in elementary. Since I don't want to buy them full price so I always get them at discount stores or garage sales.  1. The Da Vinci Code (Robert Langdon #2) by Dan Brown  An ingenious code hidden in the works of Leonardo da Vinci. A desperate race through the cathedrals and castles of Europe. An astonishing truth concealed for centuries . . . unveiled at last. While in Paris, Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon is awakened by a phone call in the dead of the night. I barely read in the month of April because I went to the U.S for a month for vacation and I could only read 1-2 chapters a day. Therefore, my reading challenge suffered and I fell behind my reading schedule. So I am made it up for the month of May and read 9 books. I am still a book or two behind my schedule but at least I made a big progress. 1. Fiance for the night by  Melissa Mclone. She needs a fiancé--for only one night. She made him up because her mom and dad are concerned about her. Cassandra could tell the truth, but she’s tired of always disappointing her family. Now, she must find a handsome, respectable-looking guy to be her fake fiancé. Troy McKnight can’t believe a gorgeous blonde wants to pretend to be engaged for the night. Why him? She’s his total opposite—impulsive, adventurous, and a

I was actually studying for my midterms during this event then finals came and after that I went for a vacation for a month in the U.S and now I am in my second term of graduate school so I did not had the time to post this blog. Nevertheless, I was so happy and grateful that I got to see Cassandra Clare and Holly Black and got some of my books signed. I have been a fan of Cassie for a long time and I also got my older brother hook on the shadowhunter series since I adore the series so much.  I quite enjoy the Q&A I love how comfortable Holly and Cassie are with each other and I love that it felt like we are all just talking to one another. They really interact with crowd and they were so funny. Their quirky banter really entertained me and I love learning about their favorite character from the other's book. Of course I had to
