REVIEW:
Disclaimer: I received an ARC in exchange for an HONEST review.

In the winter of 1889, a luxury cruise liner leaves Liverpool, England, with a murderer on board.

Once again we are thrown in this magical and tantalising world by Kerri Maniscalco. This book is very fast paced and filled with mystery and suspense. The book starts with Audrey, Thomas and Uncle Jonathan Wadsworth boarding the Etruria, which is a cruise ship heading to New York. In the ship, they meet the entertainment Mephistopheles and his Moonlight Carnival crew. They perform acts, which are magnificent but also dangerous. The crowd goes wild with their antics but in the last act an audience was left death with a stab of a knife. The trio is then trapped at sea with a murderer. They are left to examine the body and try to unravel the mystery.

Furthermore, I can say that the romance between Thomas and Audrey has grown throughout the series. Also, their is a new competition for Thomas. Mephistopheles is very mysterious and you can see the tension between him and Audrey with the banters they threw at each others. The romance in this book has stepped up from the last two books with the privacy, secrecy, and sneaking around of Audrey and Thomas.

The author's writing is very descriptive, which makes the story more hypnotising because the setting is very glamorous with the cruise ship and circus. Also, she just keeps you wanting more. Wanting for more of the mystery and the romance. I really recommend this series because it is very unique and if you like mystery stories or stories about serial killers you will definitely enjoy this.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Kerri Maniscalco grew up in a semi-haunted house outside NYC where her fascination with gothic settings began. In her spare time she reads everything she can get her hands on, cooks all kinds of food with her family and friends, and drinks entirely too much tea while discussing life’s finer points with her cats.

Her first novel in this series, Stalking Jack the Ripper, debuted at #1 on the New York Times bestseller list. It incorporates her love of forensic science and unsolved history.
