Book Signing: Cassandra Clare and Holly Black (#CassiexHollyinPH)

This is a very very late post about the King and Queen Tour last March 10, 2019. I took a small break from blogging because of my busy schedule. I was actually studying for my midterms during this event then finals came and after that I went for a vacation for a month in the U.S and now I am in my second term of graduate school so I did not had the time to post this blog. Nevertheless, I was so happy and grateful that I got to see Cassandra Clare and Holly Black and got some of my books signed. I have been a fan of Cassie for a long time and I also got my older brother hook on the shadowhunter series since I adore the series so much.  I quite enjoy the Q&A I love how comfortable Holly and Cassie are with each other and I love that it felt like we are all just talking to one another. They really interact with crowd and they were so funny. Their quirky banter really entertained me and I love learning about their favorite character from the other's book. Of course I had to ...

February and March 2019 Wrap Up (19 books)

Another month is over, which means it is time for my wrap up. I decided to combine my February and March wrap up because I was so busy in the beginning of March that I did not have the chance to do a blogpost about my February wrap up. Moving on, I have read 10 books in February and 9 books in March. I have currently read 26 of 100 books for my reading challenge this year and I am 2 books ahead of schedule, which I am proud of.  Let us start with the books I read last February. I re-read 7 books this month and read 3 new books. Most of the books I read are contemporary stories. 1. Nothing Left to Lose by Kirsty Mosely (Re-read) 2. The Assassin's Guide to Love and Treason by Virginia Boecker  I love the idea of the story but the execution lacked emotions. The story was also draggy and there were parts that did not keep me interested. I was not also invested with the characters. They feel one dimensional in a way that I could not relate to them and they did not brin...

Top 18 books of 2018

Image
Happy New Year everybody and you know what that means. It is now time for my top 18 book of 2018. 2018 was a great reading for me. I read a total of 138 books, which is about 43,912 pages. I read a lot of good ones this year and I also fell back in love with mystery/thriller books, which is great since there are a lot of recently published good mystery books right now. Without further ado let get on with my top 18 books! 1. The Gentleman's Guide to Vice and Virtue by Mackenzie Lee Henry “Monty” Montague was born and bred to be a gentleman, but he was never one to be tamed. The finest boarding schools in England and the constant disapproval of his father haven’t been able to curb any of his roguish passions—not for gambling halls, late nights spent with a bottle of spirits, or waking up in the arms of women or men. But as Monty embarks on his Grand Tour of Europe, his quest for a life filled with pleasure and vice is in danger of coming to an end. Not only does his fathe...
