Evolving Perceptions

I was struck with the biggest reading slump at the end of June and the beginning of July. I just kept on picking up books and reading but my mind began to wander and I would just scroll on my phone and go in social media instead of reading. I don't know if it's because of my school work that just made lazy to read after studying long periods of time. I also realize that I began to become so emotional and moody, and all I wanted to do was to sleep and I would sleep for long periods but when I woke up I was still tired. There was even a day where I slept for 16 hours straight.  Before the start of the third week of July, I really forced myself to read and finish a book. Last month when I went to the country club to work out at the gym, they had Books For Less in the lobby. They had a great selection of books that I could not help myself and got a couple of books. Most of the books that I brought are re-purchases because I lost many books over the years, especially children books, due to our moving from a different house when I was in elementary. Since I don't want to buy them full price so I always get them at discount stores or garage sales.  1. I barely read in the month of April because I went to the U.S for a month for vacation and I could only read 1-2 chapters a day. Therefore, my reading challenge suffered and I fell behind my reading schedule. So I am made it up for the month of May and read 9 books. This is a very very late post about the King and Queen Tour last March 10, 2019. I took a small break from blogging because of my busy schedule. I was actually studying for my midterms during this event then finals came and after that I went for a vacation for a month in the U.S and now I am in my second term of graduate school so I did not had the time to post this blog. Nevertheless, I was so happy and grateful that I got to see Cassandra Clare and Holly Black and got some of my books signed. I have been a fan of Cassie for a long time and I also got my older brother hook on the shadowhunter series since I adore the series so much.  I quite enjoy the Q&A I love how comfortable Holly and Cassie are with each other and I love that it felt like we are all just talking to one another. This book haul is kinda different because I brought 4 books and 1 graphic novel, and all four books are non-fiction. I do not normally buy non-fiction books but I have been into reading non-fiction books right now. Also, one of the local bookstore here in the Philippines, National Bookstore, is having a super summer sale so I took advantage of the sale and I brought 3 books for 80% off,  which is a crazy good deal.  1.
