Book Signing: Cassandra Clare and Holly Black (#CassiexHollyinPH)

Image
This is a very very late post about the King and Queen Tour last March 10, 2019. I took a small break from blogging because of my busy schedule. I was actually studying for my midterms during this event then finals came and after that I went for a vacation for a month in the U.S and now I am in my second term of graduate school so I did not had the time to post this blog. Nevertheless, I was so happy and grateful that I got to see Cassandra Clare and Holly Black and got some of my books signed. I have been a fan of Cassie for a long time and I also got my older brother hook on the shadowhunter series since I adore the series so much.  I quite enjoy the Q&A I love how comfortable Holly and Cassie are with each other and I love that it felt like we are all just talking to one another. They really interact with crowd and they were so funny. Their quirky banter really entertained me and I love learning about their favorite character from the other's book. Of course I had to ...

Title: What If It's Us Author: Becky Albertalli and Adam Silvera Published by : Harper Teen Released Date: October 9, 2018 PLOT: Arthur is only in New York for the summer, but if Broadway has taught him anything, it’s that the universe can deliver a showstopping romance when you least expect it. Ben thinks the universe needs to mind its business. If the universe had his back, he wouldn’t be on his way to the post office carrying a box of his ex-boyfriend’s things. But when Arthur and Ben meet-cute at the post office, what exactly does the universe have in store for them? Maybe nothing. After all, they get separated. Maybe everything. After all, they get reunited. But what if they can’t quite nail a first date . . . or a second first date . . . or a third? What if Arthur tries too hard to make it work . . . and Ben doesn’t try hard enough? What if life really isn’t like a Broadway play? But what if it is? Review: Disclaimer: I won an advance reade...

Book Signing: Jenny Han and Siobhan Vivian

Image
This post has been long long long overdue. The event happened almost a year ago and I believe I was busy at that time that I did not have the chance to write a blog about it. I only remember about it right now because the movie To All The Boys I Loved Before by Jenny Han is showing tomorrow and I am very excited about it. Plus, it better to late than never, am I right? Me and Jenny Han The event was back in September 2018 in SM Megamall. I went with my sister because she is a big fan of Jenny Han. To All The Boys I've Loved Before is her favorite book series. She underwent spine surgery two months before the event and she still went to the event because she really would like to meet her Jenny Han.  The place took place inside a cinema, which I prefer because it is more comfortable than the past book signing events that I have been. During the panel, Jenny Han talked about the movie adaptation for To All The Boys I've Loved Before, which got everyone in the audience ...

February 2018 Book Bargain Haul (28 books)

Image
February is not just the month of love but it is also the month of book sales. I attended two book sales this month, the Big Bad Wolf Book Sale and the National Bookstore Book Binge Bazaar, and I got 28 books. It's the month of love so why not celebrate my love for books by buying a lot books (this is what I tell myself trying to justify buying 28 books). It looked like I bought 1 book a day this month.  I also got The Sky is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson and The Runaway King by Jennifer A. Nielsen (199 pesos each)  So, that is all for my February haul. This is probably the biggest haul I have ever done and I am very happy because of my growing book collection. ................................................................................................................................................................... Book Signing: Amy Ewing + News about her new series.

Image
About the Author:  source: http://amyewingbooks.com/bio/   Me with the author of the Lone City Trilogy, Amy Ewing.                       Amy Ewing is the young adult author of  The Lone Trilogy. She grew up in a small town outside Boston, where her librarian mother instilled a deep love of reading at a young age. Amy moved to New York City in 2000 to study theater at New York University. Unfortunately, her acting career didn’t quite pan out. She worked in restaurants, as an administrative assistant, a nanny, and a sales representative for a wine distributor before the lack of creativity in her life drove her to begin writing.             Amy received her MFA in Creative Writing for Children from The New School, where she was lucky enough to meet a fabulous community of YA writers who keep her sane on a daily basis. She lives in Harlem, where she sp...
